2050 classes planted 1.2 million flower bulbs!

2050 classes planted 1.2 million bulbs
This autumn, tens of thousands of children planted bulbs, spread across the Netherlands, Germany, England, France, Canada, and Sweden. They learned how and when to do this through a free bulb package from Bulbs4Kids.
Million bulbs
This This autumn, no less than 2050 classes received a Bulbs4Kids package. With the 600 bulbs in each package, more than 1.2 million bulbs were planted in school gardens. And even more importantly: all these classes learned about bulbs in a fun and educational way thanks to the Bulbs4Kids project.
Participating primary schools
The 2050 bulb packages were distributed across 6 countries: 450 packages for Dutch primary schools, 825 for German primary schools, 250 for English primary schools, 275 for French primary schools, 150 for Canadian primary schools, and 100 for Swedish primary schools. These schools had registered in the spring via the Bulbs4Kids website.
How does it work?
With the Bulbs4Kids bulb package, participating classes get to know bulbs. The package contains all the ingredients to show and let children experience in an educational way how bulbs grow into colorful flowers. The package includes different types of bulbs, small shovels, plant markers, workbooks, and teaching support for the teacher. A fun photo and video contest is also associated with Bulbs4Kids. The grand prize is the Golden Bulb 2025.
Green is healthy
More and more studies confirm the positive influence of nature on health. Playing in and with a natural environment contributes to a balanced and healthy development of children. It makes children more creative, smarter, and fitter.
Organization
Bulbs4Kids is an initiative of iBulb, the promotional organization of Royal Anthos. The goal is to stimulate the use of bulbs, bulb flowers, and pot bulbs internationally through global PR and advertising campaigns.
Creating your own picking garden
If you also want to enjoy flowers from your own garden, reserve a spot in your garden or border as a picking garden. Choose a sheltered sunny spot and decide which bulb plants you want to use. No space for a picking garden? Then plant more bulbs in the garden so you can occasionally pick a few flowers from there. And no garden at all, but a balcony? No problem either. Plant a container full of bulbs and occasionally pick a bouquet from that.
