Chionodoxa forbesii Blue Giant blooms intense blue. It is a lovely small flower that blooms early in spring and naturalizes well.

The main difference between Chionodoxa luciliae and Chionodoxa forbesii lies in the size and shape of the flowers.

It is native to western Turkey and was described by the English botanist Prof. Edward Forbes. The cultivar ‘Alba’ blooms white, the ‘Blue Giant’ intense blue, and the ‘Pink Giant’ soft lilac pink.
