Possibly one of the oldest varieties in our Dahlia collection. This semi-tall Dahlia (40-50 cm) dates back to 1936 and was introduced by the Dutch breeder G.F. Hemerik.
The color is orange but with a coppery sheen.
This single-flowered Dahlia is a grateful summer bloomer that will give you pleasure for months.
When the risk of (night) frost has passed, dahlia tubers can be planted.
Dig a planting hole where the dahlia tuber fits comfortably and cover it with a few centimeters of soil. Plant the tuber with the piece of old stem facing up.
Dahlias love nutrient-rich soil. You can enrich poor garden soil by mixing compost into the planting hole. They are true sun lovers, so plant them in a sunny spot.
If you regularly remove the faded flowers, you will be rewarded with an abundance of flowers in the most beautiful colors and shapes.
