Fritillaria Persica
3 bulbs for € 11.25
Beautiful variety of Fritillaria that is still not very well known in our gardens.
Each stem has 15 to 20 bell-shaped black-purple flowers. Others referred to the color as eggplant or plum purple. It doesn't matter at all, this Fritillaria is simply beautiful and original in a mass.
It is one of the bulbous plants that were brought from Constantinople to Vienna by the Austrian ambassador Ogier Ghiselin Busbecq. He arrived in Vienna in early April 1576 and it bloomed there for the first time in 1583.
Plant the bulbs about 12 to 15 cm deep. Also try combining them with a tulip in a contrasting color!
