The deciduous agapanthus does not need to be pruned. This species will lose its leaves naturally.

Place small stones or gravel mixed with some sand under the root to allow excess water to drain away. Use potting soil Location: sunny Humidity: moderate, only water during blooming in the summer months Fertilizer: Give 1 teaspoon in March, April, and May and once after blooming in August (max 50 grams) Wintering: from December bring the pots indoors and winter them frost-free between 0 and 10 degrees. Leave them in the garden, but cover with straw or leaves. Repotting: once every 3 years, in winter or spring Propagation: once every 3 to 5 years. Special features: beautiful cut flower. Origin: The Agapanthus is often referred to as (South) African lily, which directly refers to its country of origin: South Africa. Traditionally, the plant grows there from the Cape Province to the Limpopo River, both at sea level and up to 2,100m in height.
