A highly striking and exceptional plant, also known as Cleopatra’s needle or foxtail lily.
For the best effect, plant at least three together. The flowers are soft pink and bloom from approximately June through July.
The plant prefers humus-rich, sandy soil. In any case, the soil must allow water to drain quickly! The planting depth is 15 cm.
Plant the roots in a sunny, warm spot. Preferably cover them with some straw during the winter months. Robustus is the tallest Eremurus species and can reach a height of 175 to 200 cm.
Eremurus is a genus of more than 40 species, mainly from central and western Asia, where they grow on dry, rocky slopes, often at considerable elevations in mountainous terrain. Today, thanks to Dutch and English breeders, we know many new varieties.
