Lilium (lily) mixed colors

7 bulbs for € 10.50

Lily bulbs are easy to plant and provide a lot of enjoyment. The bulbs are fully winter-proof and produce beautiful flowers, which are also suitable as cut flowers.

Plant them immediately upon receipt at a depth of about 12-15 cm. Mixture of various colors. Extra thick size. Height: approximately 70-100 cm.

Originally, lilies grow all over the Northern Hemisphere. The lily has been seen as a flower with meaning for thousands of years due to the various symbolisms it carries. These symbolisms include femininity, love, purity, and transience. But the lily also carries a beautiful history. In 1150, French King Louis used the lily on his shield as a symbol of his name (Louis or Loys) and power. The lily is portrayed as a subject in many historical paintings.

  • Choose a nice spot for the lilies. They love plenty of sun, so make sure to find a place where the sun shines abundantly.
  • Dig a hole 10 to 15 cm deep. It is better to plant the lily bulbs too deep than too shallow, as this keeps the bulbs nice and cool and also ensures that the stems stand sturdier.
  • Loosen the soil at the bottom of the planting hole and place the lily bulbs in the hole. Maintain a planting distance of 15 cm so that all bulbs receive enough sunlight.
  • Cover the hole with the lily bulbs in it, with soil.
  • Water the lily bulbs immediately. This ensures that the roots will start to grow quickly.
  • If you cannot plant lily bulbs immediately after purchase, store them in a cool, dark place like the refrigerator. This prevents the lily bulbs from sprouting.
