Preserved Sea Fern-Neptune’s plant
1 pot for € 6.66
Sea fern (Sertularia Argentea), also known as air fern or Neptune’s plant, is a real treat for nature lovers and unconventional decorations. Although the name suggests otherwise, it is neither a fern nor a plant, but rather a species of colonial hydroids related to jellyfish and corals.
Sourced for years from the same area, seasonal fishing breaks (from spring to autumn) allow the population to naturally regenerate.
Specific Displays: It is used to create unconventional bonsai trees, resin art, wall art, and displays inside glass domes or on minimalist shelves.
Only found in certain waters around the UK, North Western Europe, and North America.
Although very popular in the 1970s, it originally became a sought-after product in the early 20th Century.
It really is a product that could be used in so many ways, from resin art to wall art, so don’t be afraid to be bold and experiment!
Location: light, but no direct sunlight
Color: green
