Tulip Tarda

15 bulbs for € 6.50

(wild tulip, dwarf tulip, species tulip)

The Tarda tulip is a very small, hardy wild tulip. It grows to approximately 10 to 15 centimeters tall. The flowers are bright yellow with white tips and open fully into a star shape in the sun. Tulipa dasystemon is the old name, and this species originally comes from the mountainous regions of Central Asia.

These tulips belong to the basic forms of tulips, as they looked in the past, before they were cultivated.

Species tulips are generally smaller in bulb and flower than other tulips. There are early- and late-flowering species tulips, and they come in many colors and sizes.

Tulips herald spring. After the dark and cold winter months, this flower brings that much-desired touch of cheerfulness to the street and garden. The sparkling colors and opening buds will put a smile on your face. They begin flowering in March. When you say tulips, you say spring!

Tulip bulbs are also lovely to plant in a pot on the terrace. They will give your terrace a refreshing boost during the gray months.

After flowering, pinch off the spent flowers or remove the entire stem so that all the nutrients go to the bulb. Leave the leaves in place until they have completely withered.

Order your tulips online now with ease and plant them this autumn for a beautiful, colorful garden or terrace in spring! We always try to offer the largest size and best quality for the most beautiful result.
