The Tulip Turkestanicais a small, early-flowering botanical species tulip that bears several star-shaped, creamy-white flowers with a yellow center on a single stem.
Tulipa turkestanica, the Turkestan tulip, is a tulip species native to Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan...). The species was first described in 1873 by Eduard August von Regel (director of the Imperial Botanical Garden in Saint Petersburg).
This tulip was awarded the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1993.
